Calcium nitride , chemical formula Ca3N2, is a brownish powder that oxidises in air and hydrolyses in water, producing calcium hydroxide and releasing ammonia, and is soluble in dilute acids.
With high temperature resistance, impact resistance, good thermal conductivity and other excellent properties, it is widely used in electronic industry, new ceramic industry and other fields.
Applications
Used as the main raw material for chemical reagent, hydrogen storage material and high-end phosphor.
Production method
Calcium nitride can be prepared from the reaction of elemental calcium in a nitrogen stream. After distillation, the fine fibrous calcium metal is placed in a nickel boat and heated at 450℃3 ~ 4Chemicalbookh in a pure N2 gas stream. Because the crystalline transformation of calcium metal occurs at this temperature (hexagonal crystal Ca→ body-centered cubic Ca), the metal lattice structure becomes loose, so the nitriding reaction is very fast, and calcium nitride can be obtained.
Storage Conditions
This product is packed in inert gas-filled plastic bags, sealed and stored in a dry, cool environment, should not be exposed to the air, to prevent oxidative agglomeration of moisture, affecting the dispersion performance and the use of the effect; the number of packages can be supplied according to the customer's requirements, sub-packaging.
