Basic Information
Arsenic trioxide is a compound composed of arsenic and oxygen with the chemical formula As2O3. It is a highly toxic substance and has been historically used for various purposes, including as an insecticide, wood preservative, and in traditional medicines.
Odorless. White powder or crystal. There are three crystal forms: monoclinic crystal with a relative density of 4.15 and sublimation at 193℃; Cubic crystal relative density 3.865; The relative density of the amorphous body is 3.738, and the melting point is 312.3℃. Slightly soluble in water to form arsenite. Monoclinic and cubic crystals dissolve in ethanol, acids and bases; Allostatic is soluble in acids and bases, but insoluble in ethanol. Industrial products are slightly red, grey or yellow depending on the impurities they contain.

Application
1.used to extract the element arsenic. It is used for smelting arsenic alloys and making semiconductors.
2.glass industry used as clarifying agent and decolorizing agent, in order to enhance the transparency of glass products.
3.In agriculture, it is used as a disinfectant and rust removerer for the prevention and control of diseases and pests. It is also used as a raw material for other arsenicidal pesticides.
4.used in the manufacture of coatings and dyes. Can be used as chemical reagent. Also used for gas desulfurization, wood anticorrosion, boiler scale and ceramic and enamel and other aspects.
5.used as an analytical reagent, such as a reference reagent, reducing agent. Chlorine gas absorbent. Also used in the preparation of arsenite, as a preservative.
6. used in glass, enamel, pigment industry and preparation of drugs, pesticides, leather preservatives.
