Features
Desiliconized zirconium is a common metal smelting process used to produce high purity Zr metal. The process involves heating silicon-containing zirconium ore with an oxidizer (usually oxygen or Cl) to high temperatures, so that the silicon and oxygen react chemically, thereby oxidizing the silicon into a gaseous silica, so as to achieve the purpose of desiliconization.
High efficiency: The electromelting desiliconization zirconium process can efficiently remove silicon from zirconium ore and produce high purity Zr metal.
High energy consumption: Due to the need for high temperature conditions and a large amount of electricity, the electric melting desiliconized zirconium process has a high energy consumption.
High product purity: Zr metal produced by electromelting desiliconized zirconium process is high in purity and suitable for high-end applications such as the nuclear industry and aerospace.

Applications
It is commonly used for producing Fused Cast Zirconium Corundum products and other high Zirconia Refractory materials in order to improve its zirconia content, increase Alumina-Zirconia Crystal, decrease impurities, improve exudation temperature and increase life-span of Fused Cast Bricks.
