Physical properties:
Appearance: white to slightly yellow powdery substance.

Applications
Cellulose arboxymethyl ether sodium is a sodium salt of cellulose carboxymethyl ether, commonly used as a viscose, paste, and barrier.
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose can be used as a thickening agent and stabilizer of pharmaceutical pulp, as a water retaining agent and dispersant of ointment drugs, and as a disintegrating agent of tablets to control the release of drug effects. It can also be used as emulsified oil mixing agent for injection.
