Cesium iodide (Cesium iodide) is a colorless crystal or crystalline powder, chemical formula CsI. Deliquescence, sensitive to light. It is easily soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in methanol, and almost insoluble in acetone. Relative density 4.5. Melting point 621 ℃. The boiling point is about 1280 °C. Refractive index 1.7876. irritating. Toxic, the median lethal dose (rat, intraperitoneal) 1400mg/kg, (rat, oral) 2386mg/kg.
