There are three kinds of α zirconium hydroxide, β zirconium hydroxide and γ zirconium hydroxide, α zirconium hydroxide is represented by Zr4(OH)8(OH)8·nH2O; β zirconium hydroxide is represented by Zr4O2(OH)4(OH)8·nH2O; γ zirconium hydroxide is represented by Zr4O4(OH)8·nH2O; Chemical activity α > β > γ. Insoluble in water and alkali, soluble in organic and inorganic acids, calcined at high temperatures into zirconia. Decomposes to zirconia at 550 ° C.

Applications
